Second part of Fall Foundation Spatial Dynamics Studios during fall 2013. Medium used: plasticine and plaster mix. The goal of assignment was to create enlarged model of real-life poppy pod example. The key of the final product was to have exact characteristics as the example. No finish was applied on plaster poppy pod.

Created a cardboard container for poppy pod example. The inner flap keeps poppy pod and the space next keeps the stand for poppy pod.
Poppy Pod Final
First created a large sketch to follow exact dimentions. During the process, observed model and real-life poppy pod to check the shape. Spherical styrofoam was placed in the middle for support then built the model with plasticine. Various views of poppy pod model.

Poured plaster mix in several steps then waited it to dry. After the plaster was dried, chisled the mold out to uncover final product.
